Silhouette
Windermere, Cumbira, England

While ambling along the main road connecting Ambleside to Windermere, I caught sight of a mother and her daughter playing by the river's edge. I thought they would make interesting subjects, so I snapped a few.

This one was the result of a total exposure miscalculation, and was a complete fluke, but I really like it. It has a moonlight feel, even though it was caught in broad daylight.

She is actually bending down and playing with her daughter in this photo, who unfortunately you cannot see. But just imagine a pair of smiling and laughing faces as the little girl screamed with joy at having the cold water tickle the tips of her toes, and you pretty much get an idea of why I was smiling for a while after leaving them.
